FOUNDER
The Founder April Roby first began her activism in Los Angeles 2005 with her close friend D. Holliwell. As April stood by Holliwell’s side fighting for Holliwell’s brother Stanley ‘Tookie” Williams from being executed a passion began to grow for the injustices she was seeing in her community. While raising her own son and seeing the disparities that the young black man faced. April 29, 2011. She lost her sister Kristy Roby to a drive by shooting. Kristy’s murder is still open. That day changed everything. That is when S.A.D began. At that time it was just a dream and a concept. Tragedy struck again September 26, 2018. April’s son life was taken in a robbery at 20 years old. Everything was different for April, She realized gun laws have to be changed and gun violence victims and their families cannot be forgotten.

Rickey-Dean Wasson
VICE PRESIDENT
Rickey-Dean wears many hats including, project management, instructional design, and facilitation. His background is in Musical Theatre, and he has performed across the US and Canada in many touring productions. He lived 22 years abroad in, London, Barcelona, and Ireland. When not helping customers achieve their goals, he can be found cycling, volunteering for worthwhile causes, or traveling.

Alongside her devoted work and fondness in the realm of tech, Nikea is known by her loved ones for her joy of traveling, movies and cuisine of all cultures.
Her journey and experience in the world of non-profits comes not only from a deep appreciation for community, but a passion for instilling education and for hands-on change.

Yolanda Roby is a Corporate professional with more than 17 years of experience serving others and working within the intricacies of people management.
Outside of the professional setting, Yolanda enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors with friends and family.
The issue of gun violence is important to her as she has seen the loss of family and friends and has personally felt the impact. She hopes to help bring awareness to the issue.

Destiny Tyndale brings in numerous years of hands-on marketing experience. From directing, producing, and starring in her own Web Series as a partner with the live-streaming service Twitch, to assisting in the curation of multiple live-stream productions.
These fast-paced undertakings have contributed to her quick-witted and modernistic perspective, alongside a deep awareness in the realm of people, and entertainment.
Beyond the office and boardroom, Destiny finds relaxation and passion in music composition, and quality time with friends and family.
